A backup that can't be deleted or modified for a defined retention period — even if an attacker gets into the backup server. A clever attacker, internal or external, will try to delete your backups too. From experience: everywhere does some kind of backup, but it's often forgotten that compromising the infrastructure means the attacker can also reach your backups. OK, action time! Right now: go talk to your IT and ask whether this is somehow "covered".
