I have a quick FREE tip on a vulnerability scanner (a tool that finds vulnerabilities in your network).
  1. If you're not running anything, definitely recommend Nessus® Essentials to your IT.
  2. The catch: you can scan up to 16 IPs (computers, servers, firewalls, etc.). Setup is straightforward.
  3. The commercial Nessus, or Tenable.io, costs something. Not exactly cheap fun.
P.S. If you don't know how, we'll help the fastest of you set up Nessus Essentials. P.S.S. Quick recap. I almost always hear that companies have this "covered". Do this right now and don't assume it doesn't apply to you.
  1. I don't reuse passwords.
  2. I use a second factor for sign-in (app, SMS).
  3. I back up using the 3-2-1 rule.
