I use this combo myself and was annoyed I had a separate local account on the Mac with a local password while having a different account in the cloud. IT folks aren't fond of this β they don't have it "under control", local accounts are hard to manage, and users gain another password to collectβ¦ Solution? Free up to 10 users, after that they'll bill you :-))- JumpCloud β adds MFA at sign-in, similar to logging into your bank (TOTP or PUSH). - The neat thing: it works without Microsoft too β it's essentially a cloud-based Active Directory.
- Technically it does much more β Cloud RADIUS, MDM β but that's more for hardcore IT folks than regular users.
