How HACKERS can steal from you via AI

I've been encouraging you to try AI for automation and to make work easier — without warning you about the potential downsides. Time to fix that.

In these articles I've encouraged you to try AI for automation and easing your general work — without warning you about the potential risks that may not be obvious at first glance. If you have AI in your company that you train on your data, you're directly creating a clear point of attack for hackers. This can be avoided, though, and in this article I'll explain how.

Secure by design (SbD)

SbD is a strategy that builds a program, network, or really anything around security from the start. In short: cybersecurity is at least on par with the program's actual features. For you, that means picking AI built using the SbD approach, then regularly assessing the risks in your company and running penetration tests. If you're more interested in SbD, HERE is an article that goes into more depth.

Plan for the future

AI isn't something that arrived and is going to leave again, so it's very important to know what you'll do going forward and how you'll be able to expand its reach. The best move is investing in a scalable system where adding features or capacity is just a question of buying more.

Should I care about what's going on "under the hood"?

You should! I strongly recommend buying a system that's transparent about what it does with your data. Otherwise it's easy to end up paying for a service that quietly steals all your data and re-sells it. That transparency also gives you the option to identify and fix any weakness that surfaces in the system, precisely because you know exactly where and what is happening.
